Something I've really been liking, but a little afraid to try, has been dark lips. Well, I went out and got myself a couple of awesome dark lipsticks and here we are. The one I'm wearing today is Black Cherry by Milani with a clear gloss on top. Great color!

Something I want to get better at is regularly taking pictures of my outfits. Make it more of a day to day thing than a weekly thing like it is now. It's so strange to think about how, before this last year and a half or so, I didn't put any effort into dressing myself at all. I was a jeans and T shirt girl (who loved baggy sweatshirts). Now here we are: Wearing a skirt or dress every day and collecting lipstick and shoes! Funny how people change like that..

Notice anything different? No? I got braces! So that's exciting (and painful). Anyway, today is the first day of fall and, quite fittingly, very rainy and chilly. Perfect for breaking out leggings and sweaters! The seasons seemed to change so fast- just last week we were having 90 degree days and now today it's pouring rain. I'm okay with it though, I like cool weather.

I'm another year older... It feels so strange to say that. I've been the same age for.. well.. a year and I got so used to it. Not that being a year older is a bad thing. I've always loved celebrating my birthday and thinking about all the new things I can do at this new age. So far I can't think of much for this one, other than "In a year I'll be allowed to do everything but drink".. That's okay though. I'm sure it will an exciting year either way.

I am in love with this dress; I picked it up a couple of weeks ago and hadn't had the oppourtunity to wear it until today. I thought my birthday would be the perfect day to break it in. The nice thing about birthdays is that you can do all kinds of things you wouldn't normally get away with. Coke with breakfast? Sure! Get all fancy just to be home all day? Why not! Wanna know a secret? I've never worn red lipstick out before. I have always wanted to, but just been too darn shy. Today seemed like a good day to try again. So far I love it!

Something I tend to pride myself in is being frugal- When I go shopping I want the best deal, and I don't understand wanting name brand clothes or things like that just because they are expensive. I feel more satisfied with my day if I can get a really great dress for a really great deal. I can tell this dress is going to be in heavy rotation in my closet and I was overjoyed to find it at a thrift store for $4. Growing up my mom has always told me "Never pay full price for anything" and it stuck.
