I figure I haven't done much thus far to help you get to know me. Well, something I love is makeup and beauty things -it's a bit of a hobby- so I'm going to use that to being myself out a bit. Here we go with the 42 beauty questions tag!
SKIN CARE
1. How many times to you wash your face daily?
-This is a funny one. I usually wash my face 1.5 times a day. In the morning I do my full washing routine (I use the oil- cleansing method, will blog about that later) with cleansing, moisturizer, acne spot cream, the whole deal. In the evening I remove my makeup, rinse my face, and use spot cream. That's it.
2. What skin type do you have?
-I have Dry, combination, sensitive, acne-prone skin. It's a bit of a pain to deal with, but whatever.
3. What is your current facial wash?
-Like I said, I use the oil- cleansing method so I wash with my special combination of oils that I mix myself. Usually the oils I use are Olive and Castor.
4. Do you exfoliate?
-I don't use a scrub, if that's what you mean. It irritates my skin too much. Instead I gently rub my face with a wash cloth when I'm wiping off the oils I wash with every morning. It does the same thing, and doesn't irritate!
5. What brand do you use?
-None.
6. What moisturizer do you use?
-I use the Clean & Clear Oil- Free Dual Action Moisturizer with salicylic acid. It's awesome.
7. Do you have freckles?
-I have a few on my nose and cheeks, and various places on my body. Not very many, but some.
8. Do you use eye cream?
-Nope. I'm not sure I even know what it does.
9. Do you or did you have acne prone skin?
-Yes. I used to have terrible acne all over my forehead and chin. It's mostly cleared up now (aside from the occasional hormonal breakout) but I still have a lot of scars.
10. Did you ever have to use Proactiv?
-I wanted to, but I never did.
MAKE UP
11. What foundation do you use?
- Right now, I don't actually use a foundation. I haven't found one that works for me just yet, and I haven't wanted to put in the effort as it is Summer right now and I think foundation is too heavy for summertime. Once the weather cools down I'm thinking I'll try Revlon Colorstay or Covergirl 3-in-1.
12. How about concealer?
-For my under-eye circles I use a basic Wet N' Wild concealer in a tube with a wand. It's got a yellow tint so it works awesome there. Elsewhere, I rarely use any, if ever, but when I do I have a little tube of Mary Kay concealer.
13. Do you know your undertone color?
-I'm fairly sure I have yellow undertones.
14. What do you think of fake lashes?
-I've never used them, but it's on my to-do list. I love the way they look! They can be a little much for daytime in some cases, but otherwise I think they're awesome!
15. Did you know that you are supposed to change your mascara every 3 months?
-I did know that! That's usually about how long mine last anyway, so it works out perfectly.
16. What brand of mascara do you use?
-It varies. If I want a more natural look (like for a no-makeup makeup look) I use Wet N' Wild Megavolume, if I want waterproof I use Wet N' Wild Megalength Waterproof, and for everyday and everything else I use Covergirl Clump Crusher.
17. Sephora or MAC?
-Well.. MAC. I love their lipsticks.
18. Do you have a MAC Pro- card?
-Nope!
19. What makeup tools do you use in makeup application?
-Well, brushes. If I'm using liquid makeup on my skin I also use sponges.
20. Do you use makeup base/primer for your eyes?
-I don't own one (it's on my shopping list) so I usually just use a dab of concealer.
21. For the face?
-Again, don't own one, it's on my shopping list.
22. What is your favorite eyeshadow (color or shade)?
-The gold in the Wet N' Wild trio 'I Got Good Jeans'. It's gorgeous and I use it all the time.
23. Do you use pencil or liquid eyeliner?
-It varies depending on the look. If I'm doing something softer, I use pencil and I use pencil to tightline on top. Usually, though, I use liquid liner.
24. How often do you poke your eyes with an eyeliner pencil?
-Every freakin' day. Seriously. Tight lining is not for the faint of heart.
25. What do you think of pigment eyeshadows?
-They're fun, but I don't use them very often 'cause they're messy and hard to work with.
26. Do you use mineral makeup?
-I have a couple of mineral eyeshadows I use once in a while, but I don't use mineral skin makeup. No reason why, other than I've never been super motivated to try it.
27. What is your favorite lipstick?
-If I'm going with a subtle lip it's Maybelline Color Whisper in Pinup Peach. It's seriously gorgeous. If I'm going bright, it's Kate by Rimmel Matte in 111 Kiss Of Life.
28. How about lipgloss?
-I don't really wear lipgloss. I have a little clear Wet N' Wild one I use if I want to make a lipstick glossy, but that's about it. I have been considering trying some of those Revlon lipglosses though.
29. What is your favorite blush to use?
-I'm a drugstore girl for the most part.. Wet N' Wild in Mellow Wine. Careful, these are very pigmented!
30. Do you buy your makeup on eBay?
-Nope. That scares me, honestly.
31. Do you like drugstore makeup?
-I love it. I'm on a pretty tight budget (still looking for a job..) so it works out perfectly!
32. Do you go to CCO's?
-When I get the chance I do!
33. Did you ever consider taking makeup classes?
-Yes, but I have yet to act on that.
34. Are you clumsy in putting makeup on?
-Yes. Thank God for blending brushes and Q tips.
35. Name a makeup crime that you hate?
-When people do lower liner only. It just... gah. I don't like it at all.
36. Do you have colorful shades of makeup or neutral?
-Both! I like to be able to match any mood that comes onto me!
37. What celebrity always has great makeup?
-I love Taylro Swift's look. I've always been a fan of dark lashes with red lipstick. Especially on blondes (yay for being blonde!)
38. If you could leave the house using just one makeup item what would it be?
-Mascara for sure. In the summer, this is a pretty common occurrence.
39. Could you ever leave the house without any makeup on?
-Yeah, that's not a huge deal.
40. Do you tink you look good without any makeup on?
-If my hair looks good, my face is fine.
41. In your opinion, what is the BEST makeup line?
-Well.. So far I like the most things from Revlon, so I'm going to say that.
42. What do you think of makeup?
-It's awesome, I love it. It's fun, it's pretty, it helps my confidence, and it's like art on my face. As an artist, I love many forms of expression and this is one of them.
